Nightbell is an atmospheric horror game about a Christmas Eve when a cozy home stops being a safe place.

On the eve of the holiday, a young boy stays home with his mother: a decorated tree, a festive table, the anticipation of a miracle. But at night, the house changes, sounds and shadows become unfamiliar, and the boy has only one thing left to do — figure out what is really happening and why everything around feels wrong.

The player will wander through the transformed house, follow the chime of a bell, hide from an unknown threat, and try to piece together scattered clues.

By morning, everything looks like a simple dream of a frightened child… but some details stubbornly refuse to fit into a harmless bedtime story.

Really enjoyed playing through this! :)

Great game! I really enjoyed playing through this, very well done! Keep up the good work :)

I think I now know very well how bad it feels to release a Christmas special horror game after the main timing/wave 😂😭

I started a free, unique 40-minute Christmas horror game back in November and still haven’t finished it. I’ll probably release it in a few days lol. It was originally planned for release around Christmas, but later I realized I underestimated the time and finishing it by then was impossible.

Has something similar ever happened to you? Just curious. I actually felt a bit relieved after seeing a Christmas horror game released late and still getting played really well 🙂

Good luck with the project, it looks great.

And thanks again! I really got a lot of relief and motivation to finally finish mine. I think I’ve got about 40% left to complete.

Not bad 👍

It was an interesting and enjoyable game.

I'd be happy if they added Japanese support in the future.

It would be helpful if they displayed the current task somewhere on the screen edge. I ended up running around aimlessly because I couldn't tell if I'd finished what I needed to do or not. (Like repeatedly visiting my mother in the shower even though I hadn't completed all the tasks.)

Nice Game!

Great game. The only issue is when going down to the kitchen to get a snack, the text will pop up on the screen but will go away kinda fast. I'd you don't get the chance to read the text then you may get stuck. I had to pause my gameplay and recording , watch my gameplay to read what the complete text. Just to know to eat a donut.  Other than that,  GREAT GAME!

game was glitched on the part i had to get the dishes from he kitchen and bring them to the living room. it wasnt letting me interact with the dishes on the counter. thanks

Absolutely awesome! Great game with smooth graphics and atmosphere. Jump scares got me really good too!

Hi there, loved the game, for real! You can check out some minor feedback in the video but overall an awesome experience - thanks! :) BTW I tried buying your game to support it after playing it, even tho it's 100% off, but I got this message from PayPal: "To comply with international regulations, this transaction has been declined." Is this a new issue? Because it happened with another game yesterday too, and it never happened before. It was all fine. So I've no idea what's going on. Maybe look into it, or at least give us an option to pay directly via card. Would that be possible? Because if PayPal is running wild for whatever reason Idk how I'm gonna be able to buy or support games on Itch. Or maybe even a buy me a coffee link would do. :(

Okay, the dev from that other game figured it out and I was able to buy the game via PayPal normally just now. This is what the dev discovered as the issue: "Good morning, I found the problem. My Itch.io account had the default setting to allow address sharing, which I deactivated because I'm an EU citizen. No problem though, you can now pay easily via PayPal." So, if you want, you can try that too I suppose. Up to you :)

Me gusto mucho el juego una muy buena ambientacion, muy entretenido y buen terror, y traducido al Español... Muy Recomendable.

i come with a new review, is a good game and is so scarry. nice job

Thank you very much!

Hello, please try different settings. Medium light and shadow quality makes the screen black.

thank you, with Hight Lighy and High Shadows, the game works fine
